Eight years ago in Cebu, all I wanted was to escape the ever-climbing rent and find a place to call my own. House hunting began, as it does. But here's where the script flipped: it wasn't the houses that grabbed my attention; it was the sheer dynamism and knowledge of the agent showing them.
Suddenly, a thought sparked: "Could I do that? Could I earn commission on my own purchase and make this dream happen faster?" So, I jumped in. The unexpected twist? I fell head over heels for the real estate world, so much so that my personal house hunt became a delightful afterthought.
By 2022, I was fully immersed, armed with a BSREM and a broker's license. Talk about a happy accident!
